The Transitional Year Residency Program has been designed to give you not only the core education that is expected from a Transitional Year Program, but also to provide you with specialty elective options to help make sure you are prepared for your next residency program. One of the requirements of the residency is that all residents must take and pass the USMLE step 3 examination, preferably during the first half of the residency.
